We are extremely excited to be able to offer high school Applied Psychology to our program this coming fall. As God continues to expand our ministry, we are eternally thankful for His vision and His provisions. Once again, we have done our best to keep our fees reasonable and affordable for our home school community. Grade Level: 9th - 12th grade
Day/Time: Thursdays @ 12:00 p.m.  - 1:20 p.m.
Cost: $70 per month per child + $50 registration fee

Course Description

Applied Psychology (9th - 12th grade)
Students will delve into Psychology through a Christian world lens. They will be introduced to the study of the human mind and will prepare for the worldview challenges embedded in modern psychology's theories and schools of thought. Students will gain an understanding of how the Christian worldview contrasts with the psycho-dynamic, behavioristic, humanistic, and evolutionary perspectives. They will learn about the history of psychology, as well as current theories on motivation, emotion, development, memory, sensation, abnormal psychology, social psychology, and treatment. Students will also become better aware of their emotional health and intelligence through the application. They will learn about the relationship between the brain and emotions and how to form better habits through the utilization of this knowledge.
